Email problems are almost never a hardware issue, which makes them one of the easiest things to fix remotely. Wrong server settings, an expired password on one device but not another, or an account that's stopped syncing are all things we can see and fix on your screen while you watch.

What we sort out most often

Can't send but can still receive, or the other way around. An inbox so full of spam that real messages get missed. Email that shows up on your computer but not your phone, or shows up hours late. Setting up a new email account from scratch, or moving an existing one onto a new device. Locked out and not sure how to get back in.

How a session works

  1. Tell us what's happening

Send, receive, sync, or setup, and on which device.

  2. We connect remotely

Same as any remote support session, you watch and approve everything.

  3. We check settings across your devices

Most problems come from one device having different settings to the rest.

  4. Confirm it's working properly

Send a test message before we finish, not just claim it's fixed.

What it costs

$150 per hour. Most email problems are well under an hour once we're connected.

Common questions

Outlook says it isn't receiving emails. What's wrong?

Usually a sync setting, a full mailbox, or a rule silently filtering messages into the wrong folder. We check all three during a remote session rather than guessing at one.

Why is my email not working all of a sudden?

The most common trigger is a password change on one device that never made it to the others, or a provider update that reset a setting. We can usually spot which one it is within a few minutes of connecting.

I can receive email but can't send. What's wrong?

Almost always the outgoing mail server settings, or a password that's changed on one device but not the others. A quick remote session usually finds it in minutes.

My email works on my computer but not my phone. Why?

The two are usually set up as completely separate connections to your mailbox, so a setting that's wrong on one doesn't necessarily affect the other. We check both.

I've forgotten my email password and can't get back in. Can you help?

Yes, through your provider's account recovery process. We can't bypass a password ourselves, nobody legitimately can, but we can walk the recovery steps with you.

Can you help set up email on a brand new computer or phone?

Yes, that's one of the most common calls we get, especially paired with a new computer setup.
