No fix, no fee
If we can't fix the problem you brought your device in for, you don't pay for the attempt. This is the core guarantee behind everything else on this page.
Payment
Labour is charged at $150 per hour, on-site or remote, plus the cost of any parts. We charge hourly rather than a fixed price per job, because a flat fee tends to overcharge for simple jobs and undercharge for complicated ones. Payment is due when the work is complete, by credit card, cash, or bank transfer. A phone diagnosis, working out what's likely wrong before anything is booked, is free.
Your data
We recommend backing up anything important before a repair, particularly where the drive itself is involved. For most repairs, screens, batteries, keyboards, charging ports, your data is never touched. Where a repair does involve the drive, we back up what we can before starting and put it back afterward. We're not liable for data loss caused by a pre-existing fault we didn't create, but we'll always tell you before doing anything that carries risk to your files.
Parts and labour warranty
Hardware repairs carry a 12-month warranty against faulty installation or a defective part, unless agreed otherwise at the time of the repair. This doesn't cover new damage, liquid exposure, or work done by someone else after we've handed the device back.
Software work is more limited, for reasons outside our control. If a Windows or third-party software update changes how your system behaves after we've finished, that's not something a warranty can reasonably cover, since it wasn't our work that changed. See our warranty page for the plain-language version of all of this.
Uncollected devices
If a completed repair isn't collected within 60 days of us contacting you to say it's ready, and we haven't heard back after reasonable attempts to reach you, the device may be considered abandoned. We'll always try to reach you before that point.
